Several key metrics jumped out at me from this year’s version of the SIA Intelligence Report, shared via video… very well produced and visually interesting, it made studying market metrics more fun. Really!
1/3rd of A/T (Alpine Touring) gear is sold online… and backcountry is down in the shops for the first time in a while. Those were just a few nuggets that help me get my head out of the dessicated western situation for going on 4 winters now, and understand the snowsports market general scene through a national lens. Of course all lens’ come with a bias and should be understood that way. Nevertheless, helpful for someone interested in broadening the tent for outdoor recreation and for those concerned for the very future of snowsports in the longer term.
